We have been living life without even knowing why, we eat coz we know we will die if we don’t, we work coz we know without working we won’t make a living, we know without sleeping we will be tired. So when every action of a man has reason, then why don’t we know the reason of our life? Nothing exists for no reason, nothing happens for no reason. So why is it that we don’t know why we exist? I believe it’s this reason we are living to know why we are here, few of us take that initiative to understand and few of us live without even asking this question.
I also believe that this the toughest answer to seek, and who so ever has the answer are in history or will be in history. Only these people will be remembered when we are long gone. This also brings another question to my mind, is there actually a reason or we have to make a reason. All those men and women who are living through centuries for what they have achieved, did they knew the reason they are or were here or is it they realized that we have to make a reason to prove our existence.
Reason could be small or big, but we all have to realize one day and work towards it. There are millions of things which we believe are not done the right way and we always wait for someone to realize and work on it, but we always want to be spectators and critics. That includes me, but after writing this if I don’t change than I am a big looser, unknowingly making a mistake is never a crime but knowingly making a mistake is always a crime. Let’s bring in changes, let it be very small. As we all have heard from our elders that savings always starts small! So similarly if we can initiate small changes it will make path towards resolving big issues.
We excuse ourselves by telling that we don’t have time, we have so many responsibilities. Have you ever noticed people who are making changes to this world are “The” person's who’s every second and minute counts, you pick a name and then think what and all he/she is responsible for and you will realize that you are wasting a lot of time? We will only live for 60-80 years out of which most of us who are reading this have already spent at least 17 – 18 years. Still we don’t have the answer, probably never had time to think about it, isn't it? Just kidding… Most of us do think about it but we lose track once our day starts.
What I think is that, the purpose of our life is to spread some smiles and some happiness on the faces of as many people as possible....
ReplyDeleteU can read my new blog post... It might link to this in some way.... :)
Thats a million dollar question! maybe we should think, how we gonna die & at once funeral, what people will talk about us! i think apart from asking the question why we are here, we should also ask ourselves how iam going to be remembered!
ReplyDeleteLet me give a great example of a legend
About a hundred years ago, a man looked at the morning newspaper and to his surprise and horror, read his name in the obituary column. The news papers had reported the death of the wrong person by mistake. His first response was shock. Am I here or there? When he regained his composure, his second thought was to find out what people had said about him. The obituary read, "Dynamite King Dies." And also "He was the merchant of death." This man was the inventor of dynamite and when he read the words "merchant of death," he asked himself a question, "Is this how I am going to be remembered?" He got in touch with his feelings and decided that this was not the way he wanted to be remembered. From that day on, he started working toward peace. His name was Alfred Nobel and he is remembered today by the great Nobel Prize.
Just as Alfred Nobel got in touch with his feelings and redefined his values, we should step back and do the same.
What is your legacy?
How would you like to be remembered?
Will you be spoken well of?
Will you be remembered with love and respect?
Will you be missed?
