Its been a long time since something motivated me to write!!!!
I would call it to be unfortunate that I even have to think something of the following sought.
The world media has been highlighting the cruelty which Indian women faces in India.I am sure everybody has strong opinions about the recent rape brutalities which has come across the global media. It is pretty much a reality that every 20 minutes in India a girl gets raped. What upsets me the most is, that even a 4 year old child is also not spared. Where doe this all come from, what is that which makes a man commit something of this nature which cannot be committed by any animal or creature. who needs to be blamed for such heinous crimes. People are fighting against the government, but is that enough?? does the government has a solution for this brutality? I don't think so.
For those of you who hail from India you would understand where this all come from, but for those of you who lives in a different society this will make you hate this country. So there are few facts which needs to be taken into consideration.
India is a county where the caste system was introduced about 3500 years ago, and since then there has been differences among the people from the same country. Today after 3500 years we have 28 states and 7 union territories. There are 18 recognized languages and about 347 spoken languages. There is too much of diversity here which is the root for too many problems. We are egoistic, stubborn people who can fight among ourselves in the name of language, caste and religion. Our cultures might have some connections at the DNA level but there is nothing common in people from different states and regions.
Out of all these differences there is a small percentage of people who are trying to represent the global India. India could be divided into two categories global Indians and local Indians. We were under the impression that its the upper middle class or educated lot which represents the global Indian and the rest the local Indians. But shockingly that's not the case its the people who believe in Individuality are representing the global Indians and the rest are stuck right in the 70's in the name of culture. It is this very race who's stuck in the 70's talk about culture and commit these heinous crimes.
I have traveled across many states in India and I speak about 7 languages. This has given me an insight of lot things. I believe if we have to change the cruelty against women then Women has to rise and help our nation. What I have noticed out of the extensive travel I have done in my life is uneducated women gives a lot of importance to the male child from a very early stage. She adores him and she ignores all his mistakes from a very early stage. This builds a certain type of confidence within the kid that what ever I do I can get away from it. Its this freedom which needs to scrubbed by mothers at an early age. The second factor which can help us curb this menace is our education system. In India teaching profession is the last choice, when we cant reach anywhere and we have no professional option that's when we choose teaching profession. You need to thank the IT and other engineering sectors for this. Money is been valued above everything, and I dare say more than religion. So with professions like IT or Engineering there is a lot of Mullah which is attractive for us to choose those paths. Now when one doesn't succeed in those industries they choose teaching profession as these are very poorly paid jobs. Even today a faculty in Engineering colleges work for mere 120 $ a month. So because of these incompetent teachers, a student can never be motivated and they can never become role models foe the students. Its this dearth which has made our education system so weak and hence moral ethics are not being embedded in a young minds.
Only a mother and a teacher can bring in the changes which can save us from such shame. And for those of you who think this is not a safe country let me assure you that what you read and hear is just one facet of our country, contrary to which there is a whole different world here which is sensible, warm and loving.
